Proud to call them my family

Here we have a lovely photo of several of my family members at my niece’s graduation. Don’t we look like such a nice group of folks?

The gentleman with the black shirt and his head down is Grandpa Jake, then there is myself of course looking for the kill apparently, my mother is sitting to the right of me, behind her to the left in the blue is my little brother and to the right is my older brother and the girl in the brown in the front to the left is #5…aka Anna Banana.

I just want to thank Adam for getting the “good side” of us in this photo. Ha!

Becka-Boo; Valedictorian

Our niece, Rebecca Lee graduated the first Saturday of May. This is our second niece to graduate. She is beautiful. One thing about Becky that has always held true…even back to our wedding when she was a flower girl and only three years old. Whenever you say her name and she sees you have a camera and are going to take a photo of her she immediately smiles. I’m glad she does…it brightens up the entire room when she does!

Here she is on graduation day:

Her hair had gotten really long but in honor of a friend that died her Freshman year Becky had her hair cut off graduation week for "Locks for Love"

Fred and cousins that marry cousins

Having recently returned from Mississippi we are enlightened. By our nieces that is. Kids are so darn smart. First off, before we left my sister jokingly said “so you’re off to the state where cousins marry cousins, eh?”. I made this comment to our nieces down there while visiting. Their reply, “Nooooo, Aunt Shana….That’s Arkansas”.

Next, we learned about Fred. We took the girls shopping and saw shirts everywhere with Fred written on it and learned about this kid who is making tons of money by….well, basically being annoying I guess. We promised the girls that as soon as we returned home we would watch a Fred Youtube video so here ya’ have it (I especially like the whole turn your head and cough part):

So I have to say that Fred IS annoying. But I also said that about Napolean Dynamite and he kind of grew on me after awhile. Hmmmm, wonder if this kid ever would? Doubtful.
