In reference to the number you can read here if you want otherwise just enjoy her pure cuteness…

I’m a little scared of what santa might bring one of my nieces this year. We are heading over there for Christmas and rumor has it he may bring a python to her. I’ve put notice out to my sister (who is probably chuckling while reading this right this very moment) that if a python slithers in I may need to go stay at a hotel.
My partner that is. Fellow Family Nurse Practitioner Mary Jane is watching out for my best interests. I walk into her office today and she says, “hey, did you see this?” and she’s all excited! It’s a research study from Yale. She gives it to me. It’s titled “Preserving Fertility for Women”.
Yale is actually removing women’s ovaries and freezing them and replacing them later on in a woman’s life for her to try to have a child then.
Hmmm…thanks for looking out for my oocytes, MJ~you’re the best!
For real. No joke. We were lying in bed working on the internet and the house literally shook. The dogs freaked and started running around and barking. It lasted just a brief few seconds. Adam said “My God, what was that!”. And, proceeded to search the house thinking something was falling apart. Then we thought maybe something blew up in town, maybe a train wrecked (I mean nothing this exciting has happened in Tecumseh since the inmate escaped from the maximum security Tecumseh State Correctional Institution three years ago~another great story)…then brilliant me had an aha moment! I went to the US earthquake page and wouldn’t ya know it…bam right there a big red square right over us! A 3.5 magnitude earthquake at 8:53 pm. The epicenter was about 18 miles east of our home. What is funny is that there have only been a dozen or so of these earthquakes in this area in the last couple of centuries I am told so here I am thinking there is big money to be made if someone would just make a shirt that said “I survived the 2009 Johnson County Earthquake!”. I mean come on people~talk about an extreme business opportunity!
Adam and I debated and went around and around about sleeping in the doorways last night for our safety in case there were aftershocks. I mean, ya never know!
By the way…it only took a little over 12 minutes for the “after shocks” per se to ricochet to Tokyo…Adam found this really cool…here is a picture of that:
Adam and I that is. Bakers, home-remodelers, photographers…On Thanksgiving I took family photos of my sister, her husband and six kids. It was crazy. Calissa Jo is three so she lasted all of about four shots and had enough of that as far as the cute smiling went. Imagine trying to get eight people to all look at me at once smiling. And, then hopefully all of their eyes are open, their hair isn’t blowing in their faces (since six of the eight are girls). All of the photos were outside and as it was Thanksgiving everything was dead but we still went to this gorgeous park with the idea in mind that I’d take the photos home and Adam and I would work on them to make them look “better”.
Although we don’t have six kids (we are “dinks” as my sister says~double income with no kids~) we are still very busy people so it has taken us FOREVER to get this first main one done. We have about six more that are what I’d call Christmas card worthy but this is my favorite I think so we finished it first. The before and after….tada: (click to enlarge)
*things to note that were changed: Madison (blonde standing on the left needed her head changed as her eyes were closed, grass was made green, bushes obviously removed, Calissa Jo (toddler) jeans pulled down to cover ankles, twig in front of Madison’s leg removed, Buildings behind them removed, stool to the right of them removed, everyone’s face was lightened, most of the stones were touched up…
