A much needed day of fun

On Saturday we went to the Amazing Pizza Factory (and let me just say this….it was amazzzzinnnggg!!!) in Omaha with Jason, Missy and the kids. We’ve never been and it was sooo much fun. It is like Chuck-e-cheese on steroids so is ten times better. Even the food is way better. There were games, go-karts, bumper cars, a roller-coaster, bowling, mini-golf and I’m sure I am forgetting something. The kids behaved and so did Adam. He has a ticket fetish. You know those games…the ones where you win tickets. Ah, boy~if he were a gambling man we would be in trouble. We had 1600 tickets at the end so for those of you that understand the whole Amazing Pizza Factory/Chuck-e-cheese ticket lingo you know that is incredible. I mean you get to pick like a race car from the prize booth, not just a pencil or sucker. The race car isn’t one that is battery-operated or anything, it is like a little match box car but still…this is the big time people!

I tell ya…those kids. They’re the bestest. And, we are sure going to miss them (and their parents too I guess). Yep, Jason is now gainfully employed (Praise Jesus) and they will be moving to Tulsa. While he is going this week, Missy and the kids won’t be following completely until this summer. Our heart’s ache with the loss of their close friendship but God is good. They are blessed and boy did they need it! I better stop now as I’m getting a little teary and I was determined to make this a “fun” post as compared to my more recent ones. Here you have Adam and I making goofs of ourselves:

It made me smile

A friend posted this on her blog today. It is of a friend of hers. He comes in dancing and is recording the entire thing without her knowing. Now I know in the beginning it looks like his wife is just on facebook or something and ignoring him but just wait and watch. I promise it is worth it. My friend wrote on her blog that if watched, it will make you smile broadly. It did. It did more than that. And, let me tell ya’…I needed that smile right about now, more than I can begin to write in this post~mabye later if feel up to it (thank you Rachel for posting something that lifted my spirits today).

I Spy 9 Different things

Below are before and after photos that I took of my sister’s kids and that Adam touched up. Can you find all of the differences?

(stone wall built up behind them, leaves removed, grass extended out, David’s jeans made longer, Madison’s(blondie on the right) head changed, Madison put on shoes instead of flip-flops, Calissa’s (cutie-petutie up front) pink belt was covered, Anna banana’s (brunette to the left) button on sweater removed, entire photo “softened”)

Cake tasting and a little bonzai with the fam

My brother and his fiancee flew in the past weekend to do some wedding things (their date is August 7th). Their visit was VERY brief but we are just thankful we got to see them at all as it has been several months. We joined them in Grand Island on Sunday to do a lil’ cake tastin’ and all I have to say is…I want to know which tier has the red velvet at the wedding.

Jesse and the best mom in the whole wide world

Jesse, Adam and two hotties (named Linden and Shana)

We then joined Linden’s family at our most favoritest pizza place on planet earth…Bonzai Pizza. We haven’t been in years but we love it. I conned my brother to share a pizza with me that had ricotta cheese~yum yum yum!!! A little foosball and jukebox. All good. Jesse will be back next month for our niece’s graduation (yay!!!) and Linden in June for her first bridal shower (double yay!!).

The best pizza ever...Bonzai!
