Well Shana has not created a post for a few months, and I started thinking that I should post something. After all it is AdamandShana.com so here goes my first try at it.
We have 4 old 8mm camcorder tapes that I wanted to get transferred over to my computer. The first one that I transferred over was our wedding video I got the 2 hour long video transferred to my computer with no problems. Then I also transferred the second video with no problems. Then got to the third video, I put the tape in and started the transfer, then the video camera (the one I was using to transfer the tapes) died! You think I would have been expecting it because I did buy the video camera on ebay and they left a tape that had a home video of a lady giving birth in the camera. NO JOKE the entire birth. Anyways the eject function is electric, so I had to take the entire video camera apart to get my tape back out. The tape only suffered minor damage.
Hmmmm…..interesting content, babe. Riveting, actually. Is this your way to try to get me blogging again? 😉
I didn’t think it was that bad for my first try! But yes you are much better at this than me.
Let’s see… how can I be encouraging to Adam while also getting the point across that I REALLY want to get Shana blogging again… hmmmmm…
🙂
I’m impressed, Adam. Really, I am. I also found the content to be riveting. It will be so great to hear from you once every few years, in between Shana’s daily blogging. 🙂 Ha. Kidding. 🙂
But really, Shana, get back to bloggin!
I too have been missing Shana’s blogs and have been hoping all is well. I see you both posting things on facebook, so I know you’re alive.
But hey, Adam, if they really did leave a video of a birth in the camera, I wonder if the camera was stolen and then sold. My friends’ video camera was stolen out of their suitcase on their way to a Hawaiian honeymoon. No, I don’t believe there was any “honeymoon-related footage” on it, but the entire marriage proposal was on it and lost forever. Anyway, she would give her left ear to get it back. I wonder how you could potentially locate the owner of that tape. I mean…..you couldn’t exactly post a pic online of the woman in labor……hmmm…..
And I think that’s a very artistic shot of all the video stuff.
How did you go about aquiring something that would transfer it to digital format? I need to do that too.
I agree Rachel she needs to get back to blogging!
Lori I never even thought of it being a stolen camera! But I do remember the tape having something written on the label, I will have to go and look at it. As for the transfer to digital, I just ordered a video input card for my computer and use Pinnacle Studio software.
Adam, you should of put some weird stuff in the mix of part.
Great Blog entry!
